Even as Skyfighter closes in on him, flamethrower ready to burn him to a crisp, Skyjack holds steady, waiting for an opportunity to land a heavy blow on his opponent. Just as his opponent lets loose, - and, for a moment, necessarily neglects evasion - he fires a single, carefully aimed shot, hoping to remove the Ranger from the battle at least, even if he can't outright kill her.
In the same instant, he unceremoniously lets himself drop down to avoid the flames, and appears to be more or less successful, transforming back into his owl mode to break his fall. However, he discovers, much to his displeasure, that his feathers have been singed badly enough to effectively render him flightless... and he crashes through the canopy, landing on the forest floor with a hefty thud after hitting quite a few branches on his way down. Professionalism winning out over pain, he collects himself long enough to hide in some thick undergrowth before letting himself deal with other matters. He opens a comm channel to the other Neo-Decepticons. "Status report. Now."

This was it. Something has to be done now. The Rangers are too much for them to handle directly. They definitely didn't think that the Rangers are going to be out tonight. Seeing the Rangers are too much for them seperately, Sindel decides to do something drastic. She doesn't know if this will work or not, seeing she only tried it on males. Well there's one way to find out right.
<<Currently getting our tailpipes kicked. But ask me again in five minutes. And boss? Get the others out of there. I'm going to work my little love magic.>> Sindel reported to Skyjack. She than shuts her IM down and starts to emit pheromones across the battle field. She's really rolling the dice on this one. She doesns't know if it will work or not. If it does work, she can get the Rangers to make love to each other or fight each other, thus making them more easier to control. If not, well...there's her "conditions" she can use.....

Sky uses her millennia of battle honed instincts to dodge the shot as much as possible unfortunately Skyjack's timing meant she couldn't dodge it completely; the shot hits cutting a gash along her side and the underside of her arm. The pain echoes along the combiner bond as she drops; this alerts Beedrill (who having been hovering taking pot-shots) swiftly moves to catch her fallen leader. "You okay Sky?" the insecticon asks concerned as she readies her gun again. She's not going to let anyone NEAR her wounded leader until Windy can take a look at her. "Yeah...well kinda anyhow" Sky replies with a wince taking a look around the battlefield noting the damage. >>Regroup I think we've done enough here. Time to head back Shadow you're rear guard. Darkclaw you're point.<< Sky called the strategic retreat. ----------- >>Understood<< came the reply from the dragoness as she soared into the air growling blocking the neo-decepticons way towards the injured commander. She was the least injured out of the group so it was reasonable that she be the one to guard the rear. -------- >>Aww do I have to?<< Darkclaw replied over the link before sighing audibly "How about we finish this later?" the large femme asks her opponent as she breaks away and flies into the air near the rest of the group. -------- It was perhaps a geasult's greatest weakness that if you hurt one member enough the others would either go mad and try to kill you or become useless. The Rangers had a tendancy to fall into the first catergory and therefore seeing that they'd already done enough damage decided to call it quits before they decided to try to wipe out those foolish enough to damage their leader.

Skyjack carefully peeks out from his hiding place, planning to snipe some of the Rangers, but they have nearly disappeared into the jungle's thick vegetation already. Their enemies chased off, though not quite defeated, Skyjack contacts his troops again. "They are fleeing. Regroup. If we make haste, we may still achieve the primary objective." He pauses for a moment to think the situation through. "I have suffered injuries. Scourge, I will need you to transport me if you are able. We shall circle around, approach the primary targets from another direction - we have raised enough suspicion as it is. When we reach them, observe first, do not engage; I repeat, do not engage. We have been weakened and they have been alerted already, and they may have the upper hand now." He glares menacingly at Gilmer. "And if you decide to interfere again, fish, I shall execute you personally." The spy stops for a few seconds to let the message sink in, before finishing up his orders. "Now move."

Scourge saw the attack coming, but despite it, he still took the hit. Feathers flew as the elder bot struggled to regain control of his tumble. With a growl he transformed and kicked in his thrusters. He'd ahve preferred to stay in beast mode to do this.

Glimmer nods as she starts after the rangers on the ground, taking Skyjack's words to mind. There will be time to deal with that later, after all. She stays low to the ground as she moves, trying to keep her continued pursuit silent. Part of her fumes at the dismissiveness that DarkClaw threw her as the Rangers took their retreat. She's isolated enough due to her unique skin condition that it's worse then any physical wound the Ranger could have given her.

The rangers had already moved on; flying off in a sort of diamond formation with the injured Sky on the centre left and Beedrill keeping and optic on her on the centre right. Darkclaw flew in front keeping her optics open for anything. Shadow whilst maintaining rear guard keeps looking behind and below her keeping her optics and audios open she has just enough attention on the others ahead of her to know what they are up to. Otherwise they return to the autobot base...knowing full well that had their other two members been there the plaing field would have been more in their favour.
>>Think they're following us?<< Darkclaw asked over their link >>Doubt it. I can not see, hear or smell anyone in persuit<< Shadow replied. >>Nevertheless remain alert you two. We will not die here; not after all the junk life's put us through.<< Sky reprimanded the two. >>Yes sir...err I mean ma'am<< Darkclaw replied adding the last part as she realised her mistake.
